At Vanity Theatre Company, we are focused on producing our own work as well as productions of relevant classics and dramatists whose work has not seen the footlights in many years.  Follow us here and on Facebook!

Dec. 5, 2011 — We are pleased to announce our two upcoming projects! In early February 2012, we will stage a reading of David Mulroy’s new translation of Antigone by Sophocles at the UWM campus. Talkback with David to follow. On May 6 and 8, 2012, we will present a staged reading of After the Desert God by Yiddish poet Kadya Molodowsky. This is the world premiere of Joel Berkowitz’s English translation. Performances at UWM and the Milwaukee Jewish Community Center.  Please stay tuned! More details to come!

We also want to take a moment, here, to acknowledge the current state of world economics and its impact on the timetable of our work.  Patience, cooperation and understanding appear to be the operative words for the immediate future.

Thank you.
