Enhanced, by Erik N. Ebarp February 2010
Instead of making his scheduled testimony before congress for further federal funding of the Human Genome Project, Nobel Prize winner Dr. James Watson awakens to discover himself tied to a chair in a remote Long Island (NY) cottage attended to by a woman who looks familiar, but who he doesn’t quite recognize (a noted psychiatrist and author). Here, the mystery woman forces a debate on the ethics of advancements in bio-engineering and the future of bio-genetics, specifically, genetic enhancement. Should we? Shouldn’t we? Or is the genie already out of the genetic enhancement bottle?!?… All the issues remain current; all the science is real!
